DSSSB PRT, TGT, PGT Tier-I exam consists two sections - Section A (100 Marks) & Section B (100/200 Marks). So, Tier-1 exam carries total 200/300 marks for 200/300 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) objective in nature and every question carries one mark for each question. This exam pattern is according to new examination scheme. There will be negative marking also and 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Section A has five portions (20 marks for each portion) of 1. General Awareness 2. General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability 3. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability 4. Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension 5. Test of English Language & Comprehension. Section B is related to subject, the candidate has opted/applied for.
