Note: The above question paper is solved with unofficial answer key. The official answer key has been uploaded for objection (11.06.2025 to 13.06.2025). In our point of view, our key is accurate. As per the official answer key, the answer of question no. 1 is 'B' (32 pilgrims) but in our opnion, option 'A' is right because there are 29 pilgrims (including Chaucer) in 'The Prologue' as Chaucer says in line no. 24 of the Prologue - "Wel nyne and twenty in a compaignye". Although there are 28 names excluding Chaucer but 30 people (2 additional priests) excluding Chaucer in the Prologue. So, the pilgrims are 29 in the Prologue. In the same way, "Interior Monologue" has been considerably used in Virginia Woolf's novels. Henry James has also used direct and indirect forms (alike) "Interior Monologue" in his novels. But the most accurate answer out of these options is Virginia Woolf.
